"Seed"

Melons are amazing and help to purify and rehydrate the body. This painting "Seed" is inspired by the melons that are grown locally in my home province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. These melons are chock full of seeds which remind me of the feminine energy that can create life. The human in this painting is pulling nutrients from the bounty of Gaia and growing roots to be nurtured from the cosmos. She is the seed. What will she become?
