Smoke Spirits
The Story
This painting was born from a single moment, captured in a photo taken by the fire at a cottage in Point Prim, Prince Edward Island. The fire crackled, sending wisps of smoke into the night air and what at first seemed like shifting embers and swirling smoke soon revealed something more, Spirits, woven into the air between worlds.
As fireflies danced in the warm glow, coyotes howled in the distance, and overhead, the Strawberry Moon shone bright. We were all witnesses to this sacred space between flame and shadow, between seen and unseen, as the spirits made themselves known.
