Vision Quest

Vision Quest tells a story that moves through time—past, present, and future—while also connecting the physical and spiritual worlds. At the heart of it is the cracked Earth, a reflection of feeling drained, depleted, and disconnected. But even in that emptiness, there’s hope. The ancestresses’ blood and the water from the ‘star-people’ begin to flow in, filling the cracks, bringing life back to both the main figure and the land.

By accepting this gift, something powerful happens. The Earth starts to heal, and so does she. Even her younger self, who has been waiting so long for the nourishment she needed, is finally receiving it. It’s a moment of deep restoration, a shift from scarcity to abundance, from being unrooted to feeling held.

Butterflies flutter through the scene, symbols of transformation and growth—reminders that change is always possible. And then there’s the owl, a messenger from the divine, watching over everything. Its presence is a sign that guidance is always there, even when we don’t always see it.

At its core, this painting is about healing—personal, ancestral, and collective. It’s about learning to receive, about recognizing that even in moments of depletion, support is flowing toward us if we allow it. It’s a story of renewal, trust, and the deep connection between self, spirit, and the land.
