Hand-Painted Offerings for Your Sacred Space

We’re just under two weeks away from the Spring Maker Market at the Eastlink Centre, and I’ve been quietly working away in the studio. A collection has been forming — hand-painted wooden pieces that feel really special to me.
They’re small, intimate objects. Painted slowly, by hand, one by one.
They’re meant to be held.
Each piece is devotional in nature — made to live on your altar, tucked into a sacred corner, or carried with you into ceremony. Of course, if you feel drawn to the imagery and want to hang it on your wall, that’s beautiful too. But they were really created to be touched, to be part of a ritual space.
The images are all expressions of the sacred feminine — some inspired by historical figures, others arriving unannounced, through vision and intuition. On the back of each one is a painted sword, symbolizing the sacred masculine.
For me, this pairing speaks to the way the sacred masculine holds space — standing behind the feminine, protecting and supporting as she prepares to do her deep work.
We all carry both energies. The womb — physical or energetic — is a portal, and when the sacred masculine within us says, "You’re safe here," we’re able to open fully into that creative, nurturing flow.
These pieces were created in ceremony. I sat with each one for many hours. They carry that presence, that light.
I have one on my altar. It reminds me daily of the balance within me, of the devotion behind my work, and of the way art can quietly hold space for something much bigger than itself.
If one calls to you, I hope it finds its way to your hands and your sacred space.
With reverence,
Renée
